So when you need it and you need it now then you either need to add it on to your weekly from tesco, pay the extra and get it expressed from Next, or go to a supplier that is used by those in the catering trade – these are professionals that can’t be left waiting… so try nisbets or creamchargers.org.uk .
then of course you need to think if you actually trust your postman? I’ve always had the most respect for the postman that goes to the effort of knocking twice – that’s not just because some people are bored at home and waiting for some excitement but because you may well be in the bath and nothing is worse than running down the stairs dripping all the way… only to find that dreaded card on the mat… we called but you were out! You know that they’re lying…. but what can you do? other than go back up to your bath dripping the whole way?
Well, what you really want is a delivery company that’ll send you a nice little sms to tell you that they’re just around the corner waiting for you… so that’s why dpd, interlink or parcelforce are the ones to use.
The problem s more to do with individual delivery drivers .. but then they really can’t be held responsible they’re not paid to wait whilst you get yourself out of the bath and dried….
So, what’s the solution? I’d have to go with the idea that amazon haven’t quite completed of the delivery drone! Althoug, as far as we’re aware there is nobody (yet) using a drone for catering whipped cream deliveries… but who knows what be just around the corner?
The drones may be a while away – especially after trigger happy dads are shooting them down to protect their family modesty. Would he have been just as keen to put a bullet into the worlds most famous postman?
